Sphere Tester
The Club's sphere tester has been built, tested, and delivered. Allen Maze has done a magnificent job in constructing the sphere tester for the club.
The device was constructed using parts donated by Ian Steele and DS Motors.
On the front, you see the operating handle which activates a single-piston pump from a GS, drawing LHM from a GS reservoir and pressurising a regulator on to which a sphere is attached. A gauge (front left) displays the pressure.
Some members may have spheres lying around in the garage with no idea if they contain gas. Members can bring their spheres to general meetings, and test them. This service is free of charge, to financial members.
